Cast Of Summer Catch: How Much Are They Worth Now?

Source: Warner Bros.

The late ’90s and early 2000s were the primetime of romantic comedies, and a lot of them starred the biggest heartthrob of the time, Freddie Prinze Jr. One of these was 2001’s Summer Catch, a romantic-comedy based on young baseball prospects who descend on the town of Cape Cod to play for the Chatham Athletics and hopefully get scouted for the big leagues. It is the perfect summer rom-com with baseball, drama, and of course love, and also hosts a huge cast of the hottest young acting talents of the 2000s, with the likes if Freddie Prinze Jr., Jessica Biel and Matthew Lillard. Some of the cast went on to have red-hot careers while others seem to have faded; check out how much they are all worth all these years later!

14. Brittany Murphy

Estimated Net Worth: $10 Million. Brittany Murphy was one of the brightest and most sought after young actresses before her untimely death in December 2009 at the age of 32. At the time of her death, Murphy had amassed a net worth of $10 million after starting her career in the early ’90s on shows such as Murphy Brown, Drexell’s Class, Almost Home and Sister, Sister among others. Murphy gained wider recognition after she co-starred in 1995’s Clueless as Tai which led to her numerous leading film roles including Freeway, Drive, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Girl, Interrupted, Riding in Cars with Boys and, of course, Summer Catch. She then hit new levels of stardom after starring alongside Eminem in 8 Mile, and went on to star in Just Married, Uptown Girls, and Little Black Book. Murphy also took on different voice acting roles in Happy Feet and from 1997-2009 voicing several characters for King of the Hill. 8. Bruce Davison

Estimated Net Worth: Unknown. Bruce Davison has had a huge acting career with 231 acting credits, one Oscar nomination and two Golden Globe awards making it very surprising his net worth remains unknown. Davison has run the map of short films, big-screen productions as well as TV series and it all started back in 1969 in the film Last Summer. His notable roles are many, but he is best known as George Henderson in the TV series Harry and the Hendersons and his film roles in Short Cuts, X-Men and X-Men 2. For Summer Catch he portrayed Rand Parrish, the rich father of Jessica Biel’s character Tenley Parrish. With so many roles and so many in the works right now, he has to be worth at least $5 million, but probably much more.

He continued with film roles in Dead Man’s Curve, Senseless and SLC Punk! before his iconic role of Brock Hudson in 1999’s She’s All That, which would be his first movie of five with friend Freddie Prinze Jr. Lillard and Prinze went on to Wing Commander and then 2001’s Summer Catch where he played Billy Brubaker. His other notable roles include Scooby-Doo, Wicker Park, The Perfect Score, Without a Paddle and The Descendants. It seems he has faded from the industry, but instead has turned mainly towards voice acting with roles in Robot Chicken, Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated, Beware the Batman and Be, Cool Scooby-Doo! With only 39 acting credits, she has already made $20 million and her marriage to Justin Timberlake, who has his own net worth of $230 million, doesn’t hurt either.
