Some celebrities are just so stingy and it doesn’t make any sense. They all have so much money yet they are totally ignorant when it comes to simple things like tipping appropriately. We have found, through careful research, that a lot of celebrities out there just don’t know how to tip. Some of them are really stingy when it comes to tipping (and we mean really stingy) while others just pay for the bill and then leave without tipping at all. Some leave things in lieu of a monetary tip. The celebrities that we have on our list are some of the worst – see for yourself!

10. Kourtney Kardashian

Kourtney Kardashian didn’t make a good impression on anyone in the Hamptons this summer. She reportedly infuriated the staff at The Driver’s Seat when she failed not only to tip but to pay for the meal at all. According to her representative, the reality TV star mom was not expected to pay for the meal. “The meal was comped and production left a generous tip,” she said. Considering that Kardashian has gotten a rent-free space for her Dash store and a free mansion from E!, it wouldn’t surprise us if she let them take care of her dining bills.

9. Sean Penn

Sean Penn has earned a reputation as a bad tipper, mostly because there have been instances where he hasn’t tipped at all and there is one situation that sticks out most. When he was at a restaurant in New Orleans, he and a few friends racked up a bill of $450. When it came time to pay, Penn paid the bill in its entirety, but he was too stingy to leave a tip. Considering how much money he is worth that sort of behavior is downright criminal!

Mick Jagger is one of the most successful rock musicians in the world, but he doesn’t tip like he is. When he dined at Washington DC’s Pizzeria Paradiso, he was left with a bill for $90. While he had no problem paying the bill, he only left a $10 tip, which isn’t even close to the expected 15%. Many eyebrows were raised over this. Even though he is worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, he has no manners, which is such a shame.

7. Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner reportedly walked out of the Mercer Kitchen in New York City without paying her bill or tipping the waitress a few weeks ago. The waitress, Blaine Morris, claimed that she had to chase Jenner down the street. When she caught up, the young reality TV star turned model threw the money for the meal in her face. Blane took to Twitter to express her outrage: “That horrible moment you chase a Kardashian down the street because she forgot to pay her bill to be thrown money in your face,” she wrote. Jenner denies the allegations altogether and went so far as threaten to sue the waitress.

Madonna is considered a really bad tipper. She reportedly doesn’t always leave a tip and, when she does, it is usually pretty cheap. When she was married to Guy Ritchie this became abundantly clear when the two went out to eat at a West London restaurant, racked up a bill for $400 and then left a measly tip – only $18. At a restaurant in New York City, a waitress reported that the queen of pop didn’t even leave a tip when she paid for her meal. Hmmm, the evidence seems pretty damning!

Mariah Carey knows what it is like to struggle financially – she grew up relatively poor – but she doesn’t seem to have any understanding or appreciation for other people’s situations. She once showed up at a New York restaurant after hours with her entourage and demanded service. The restaurant stayed open; however, when it came time to pay, the world famous singer did not leave a tip. Sounds like a total diva move to us!

Kirsten Dunst was reportedly banned from one West Hollywood eatery. She would go in there on a semi-regular basis and rumor has that she’d drink a lot of wine. One time when she was there for a late lunch, the manager picked up her bill for her because he was such a big fan; however, when the waiter went to clean up and pick up the tip, he found that Dunst hadn’t left one. They reportedly banned her after that, which makes sense to us!

Miley Cyrus is another celebrity who has earned a reputation for being a lousy tipper. Back in 2009, the controversial singer went out to eat at the Outback Steakhouse with her sister Brandi. The two racked up a $70 bill. Miley paid with a $100 bill and then kept the change. According to her representative, the budding pop star wasn’t aware that “she was supposed to tip unless she was eating inside.” Wow, that isn’t even a clever excuse for not tipping.

2. Usher

When it comes to tipping, Usher seems pretty out of touch. He reportedly gets someone else to pick up the tab when he goes out to eat and, even worse, he is known for leaving autographs instead of tips when he dines out. We’re not even sure where to begin on this one. We can’t believe that someone as wealthy as Usher would have someone else pick up the tab and we have heard that his autograph goes for about $3 on eBay, which would make it a really bad tip.

Jeremy Piven has been called the king of bad tippers. He was reportedly banned from all Nobu restaurants for leaving horrible tips and for his boorish behavior. During his last dining experience at the restaurant, the actor was so displeased with the table he was given that, as he left the restaurant, he said, “Thanks for nothing” to the manager. Piven also reportedly left an “Entourage” DVD as a tip. Rumor has it that the waiter threw it at him as he was leaving, which is really awesome if you ask us!
