14 Stars Who Are Notoriously Rude To Their Fans

Some celebrities don’t have the respect and appreciation for their fans that they should. Instead they take their fans for granted. These celebrities rarely sign autographs or pose for pictures. Some even want money to do these things for their fans! We decided to find some of Hollywood’s most ungracious celebrities – the ones who treat their fans poorly and still expect that the general public will look on them favorably. Some of these celebrities have made headlines in recent months for how rude they are, while others don’t get enough recognition for how badly they treat their fans. Here are our top 14!

14. Russell Crowe

Russell Crowe is incredibly talented and for some time was known as a very affable man in Hollywood, but after his stardom began to weigh on him, his temper began to show — even to his fans. Crowe has become known for his many violent outbursts towards staff and those close to him, and before long he started taking it out on fans as well. Many were shocked back in 2015 when the actor appeared on The Late Late Show and went on to complain that he had to use “the midget’s” microphone before berating the entire audience for not clapping in time during a musical appearance. He told the crowd to just “shut up” if they weren’t capable of staying on beat.

13. Rihanna

Rihanna is known for staying true to herself despite her fame in Hollywood, but her “real” attitude seems to not be so pleasant when it comes to fans. Over the years, many Rihanna fans have shared stories of the singer having a bad attitude, and while it must get annoying for people to want to your autograph or take your picture all the time, it all goes along with being a celebrity. One person shared a story of a coworker who won tickets and backstage passes to meet the singer during her “Umbrella” era of fame, but it was less than the amazing experience the person expected. “When her kids finally got the chance to go meet Rihanna, she was sitting at her makeup booth and refused to face them, or even look at them. When they asked for her autograph, she told the closest backup dancer to forge it for them and shooed them away,” the person shared. In 2014, Rihanna came under fire again when she seemingly cyber-bullied a teen who wore a prom dress similar to a dress that Rihanna had worn to an event years before.  “Dark Thot Rises” and “#prombat” the singer allegedly tweeted along with a picture of the fan.

12. Jared Leto

Jared Leto is known for being a little off-beat in the entertainment industry, and apparently wasn’t that great to work with on Suicide Squad, but it turns out many fans have had issues with the actor and singer as well. As the lead singer of the band 30 Seconds to Mars, Leto has become known for lashing out fans who approach him and once even flipped off and humiliated a fan who didn’t know the words to one of his songs even though she was Brazilian and didn’t speak English. Another fan of the band and the singer also said that they waited in line to get autographs from the band after one show and “When I got to Jared Leto, I said, ‘Hey, that was a great show!’ He responded, ‘I signed your s**t, now f**k off!'”

Spike Lee is famous for a lot of things, and one of them happens to be his poor attitude that he doesn’t even attempt to hide in interactions with fans, fellow celebrities or coworkers. 10. Jennifer Lawrence

Even though Jennifer Lawrence began her career as the beloved girl-next-door who insisted she was just like a regular person, it didn’t take long for a more celebrity attitude to take over. After her first year or so of extreme stardom consisting of jokes about “being fat” and loving to just sit and eat Doritos rather than attend Hollywood parties, Lawrence grew tired of the fan attention and the approachable demeanor she had put out there and admitted she has become increasingly “rude” to fans. “Once I enter a public place I become incredibly rude, I turn into a huge a–,” she admitted.

9. Christian Bale

Much like Russell Crowe, Christian Bale is known for his volatile temper on set and has even been arrested after a major blowout during a press tour, so it isn’t surprising that when he is in the wrong mood, he can just as easily turn on fans. The actor’s former publicist and assistant wrote a tell-all book detailing her many experiences with the actor which once included him berating a group of young female fans who approached him in public so bad that they left in tears. He also reportedly suggested that a fan should be “eliminated” after they sent a letter to his home and even sent a fax back to a fan once that was an elaborate death threat, but he was never charged for the threat.

5. Lea Michele

Lea Michele is only famous because of her role on “Glee” and because she was dating Cory Monteith when he overdosed; however, that hasn’t stopped her from acting like a total diva. The fame hungry actress is rumored to be pretty rude to her fans. A few years ago, she refused to sign an autograph for 14-year-old Hailee Steinfeld – the young actress from “True Grit.” Steinfeld burst into tears, but that didn’t help her get any closer to getting Michele’s autograph.
